I realize you wrote this in February, and it is now December, but for anyone else wondering the same thing...no, don't worry about it. We have a stunning lemon merangue wrasse. It's about 4 inches long, bright yellow on top, white on the bottom, with some streaks of green near its eyes. He always snoozed for 12 hours at a time in the sand. Our pink-face wrasse began tormenting him, chasing him across the tank (200 gallon). We did a partial one day, didn't see him during the water exchange and moved around some of the live rock. Didn't see him for 3 days, then 6, then 10, then decided he was dead and the crabs had gotten him. Came home from work one day 3 months later -- no kidding, it truly was a little over 3 months -- and saw him swimming around just as healthy as ever. Had a little kink in his side where it looked as if he'd been curled up for awhile, but began eating the next day and has been healthy as ever for the last 6 months. |
