Hi, if you decide in a trigger, when a trigger is so small a 55 is ok, but they grow and many them grow fast and a 55 isn`t a good size tank to house them in, and when a hobbyist wishes to mix differ trigger species in an aquarium, you would need as larger tank you can afford. Happy Fishing
