:I have two tanks--one with mostly tiger barbs and the other with mostly long-finned danios. I suspect the danios are beating up on a guppy in their tank and feel bad watching his tail disappear more and more. A possible solution would be to move to danios in with the barbs EXCEPT that the barbs are notorious nippers. I read somewhere, however, that danios and barbs are compatible and was wondering if this is actually true? I kind of thought that they wouldn't be good together at all...too much temptation in those flowy fins for the barbs. ??

If you want to keep those danios fins long and flowing then I wouldn't add them with the tiger barbs. Also, see my reply about the CAE on the guppy forum.
