Tim,
They could have had ick for quite some time. Ick develops in stages. Before you saw the spots did you notice them rubbing up against things, such as your gravel or ornaments? I bought a few neons awhile back and 2 days after purchasing, I seen where they had developed Ick. They had probably been harboring the parasite and the stress of moving into a new enviroment probably allowed the Ick to take advantage of a possibly weakened immune system. I am not sure why most of the spots would have disappeared if you had not treated the fish. Ick will spread like wildfire. Maybe they have a fungus of some sort. Either way keep a very close eye on them. I am not sure what to tell you. Maybe someone else reading this board is more knowledgable than myself and can you give better information.

:Ok the next I had a look to see if things got any worse.. it would appear that most of these white spots have gone.. there were very little of them to begin with but now there are only one or two on the fish that was really bad... could Ick have developped in 2 days.? is it that quick? should I still worry about it?

:Thank,

:TIm C.
