:I just noticed that one of my black skirts is getting a little big around the middle. I know that they are not live bearing, but egg bearing, but my question is do they deposit their eggs right away or carry them for a while, maybe this is the cause of her getting big????

Females are a tad larger than males, and there is usually a significant difference in the size of their bellies. This could be what you're seeing, just make sure it isn't any diseases such as dropsy.

Unless breeding conditions are right they may never deposit the eggs. To find out more about breeding conditions visit the link below, and if you have any further questions on breeding please post them to our breeding board.
