::My best guess is that your fish are susceptible to ich and have caught it because they are stressed! 2 Kole tangs in the average hobbyist's tank is not a good idea. Although Koles are pretty peaceful, they can be downright nasty to each other. What size tank do you have?

::My suggestion is to move one to a separate tank and wait a few days (meanwhile giving them superb water quality) to see if the ich goes away without treatment. Then return one of them to the store and get another (non-tang) fish after your remaining Kole has gone for a couple of weeks with no signs of ich. You may also invest in a cleaner shrimp, provided of course that you have not medicated the tank with copper.

::::: hey thanks for your reply, I have them in a 120gal tank along with 3 yelow tangs, 1 humma humma, 1 dogface puffer, 1 antennata lion, 2 V. lionfish, 1 bumble bee dwarf lion, 1 zebra eel and 1 chain link eel. Now I know what your going to say, this fish aren't supposed to be living with but I've had this tank for 2 years with the same fish ( except the 2 new kole tangs) and everyone's been living harmony, even the new kole tangs are getting along fine, i have a lot of rocked I just rearranged which gives evryone a cave. Now the shop I bought these fish in are known for selling some fish with ich. Since they've all been doing fine (except for ich) I am going to keep them, is there any other suggestions

OH MY GOD :( your tank is way over crowded, did the aquarium store say it`s ok to have so many marine life in a 120? for you see i have a number of tanks and never would i have so many crowded into any smaller size tank to do so i risk their health and stress comes into affect, then ick. Is this the first tank your doing? even if this 120 bend setup for two years as you say, that makes no never mind differ for in time all the problems you would have for over crouding will come about, and then what? you have 13 species of marine life, with the smaller them growing to 6" and the Zebra moray grows to 4 1/2 ft +, the volitans lionfishes grows 15". Please understand that many aquarium shops will tell you yes it`ll be fine, well for most the aquarium shops will always say whats best to make a sale, and you must understand for those in these forums have nothing to gain in helping another but the satisfaction of saving marine creatures from their demise. Even a Huma trigger will attack another in a over crowded situation and to have two kole tangs, they rarely bother other fishes but will attack one another. Please know that your tank is very over crouded and remove most them before your situation get`s worst. If you like to do great in this hobby, you should research. ><{{{{"> Buddy
