Powder Blue's aren't very tolerate of a quck change in water quality. They are also easily prone to ich! Keep a couple cleaner shrimp in the take and periodically dose with 'Ruby Reef's Kick Ich' if you get suspicious of ich. I've been using the product off and on ever since 1st getting my powder blue and he's been thriving for almost 2 years without a single ich attack! The biggest problem I have with him is eating algae so quickly! He can clean out the tank in no time! You might want to consider growing some macroalgae in a lit sump or refugium so that you've always got a supply on hand for him. Hope that helps! : please help!! My husband surprized me with a beautiful powder blue tang today for my birthday, but I know this is a delicate fish. My tank is only three months old w/ exellent water perimeters and 3 hardy fish. There is lots of algae, and diet will not be a problem. Please e-mail me any info, or direct me to a site. I'd like to know what temp, ph is best.
