Regarding my earlier post, I should also add that the Tangs I saw in the pet store were all approximately 3 inches in lenght. Even though the tank at the pet store did have 3 yellow and 3- purple tangs all in the same 20 gallon tank it is my plan to station an additional 55 gallon tank directly next to the one I currently have and then I would like to seperate the fish in order to have a colorful array of both types of tangs together in seperate tangs and if possible any other smaller type schooling fish that could be allowed in each tank along with the tangs. Please send any information to my email address at papacrise1@yahoo.com Thank you once again : : Hi! Im relatively new at keeping aquariums. I have had a 55 gallon freshwater set up for about 6 months now, with no real problems. Currently the tank is stocked w/10 black mollies-10-red eyed tetras, 10- zebra danios, 10-red wag platys and 2 ea of blue and gold Gouramis. I would like to expand my tank to more colorful fish and the Purple and Yellow Tangs have caught my eye! Every other site I browse seems to have a different variation or opinion regarding this matter. My question(s) are: Can my tank be converted to acomodate Tangs and if so how many in a 55 gallon tank is recommendeed?
