Guppies and mollies may cross breed but I'm not sure about that one. (they are both live bearers so this is possible check out the molly forum on this website.) They will not breed with the swordtails tho. Swordtails will usually cross breed with platies since they are from the same genus. Which is how they have developed so many different colors and finnage. Swordtails will breed with what are called lyretail mollies. (this will produce what is called the hi fin lyretail swordtail if you are lucky)
If you are going to buy swords my suggestion is to buy 2 females and a male. (this is so the male doesnt harass the poor female to death.)Make sure you read up plenty on taking care of your fish since its not as simple as dropping them into the tank and feeding them. There are plenty of helpful tips in this forum as well as others. (to my experience this site has been the most helpful.) If you are unsure about taking care of your tank I can send you some helpful articles that someone was kind enough to pass on to me.
