I wouldn't. Even if your tank was rather large. It really has nothing to do with size of the tank in this situation. Goldfish are 'cold water' fish. Plus, IMO, Goldfish are 'pigs' (aka-messy). They also eat a different mix of food. Mixing tropical fish with Goldfish is not a wise decision. But I have seen some people do it (although it makes me cringe).
