As would I!, i have a young and growing guppy that seems to have a reverse swordtail (the sword is at the top of his fin) and i think its very beutiful because he has guppy coloration, but also that beautiful little knife, i think its just his shape, not from interbreeding though... Cross breeders are always intresting... Lacie
::I have them in the same tank, and all logic tells me no, but i have been seeing some courtship action between a large, pinkish female guppie and a male sword tail.
::She seems no responsive..but I was just wondering
::thanks

:I have kept the two together for years, and I have yet to see them breed or have yet to even hear of the two species breeding. However, I wouldn't doubt that they could since both are livebearing fish, and there are cases of other fish that have bred when it was thought they couldn't. Now swordtails and platies will interbreed for a fact, as will guppies and mollies. If by chance your swords and guppies do breed, I would really like to see the offspring.
