While getting Clown Loaches is great advice these are fish that live in schools, if you only get one it will be miserably unhappy and you will only be harming that fish. If you do decide to go with a Clown Loach they are great fish, lots of fun to watch as they often live up to thier name, but they need to be in a school of at least three.

These are also, for lack of a better term, fragile fish and you should learn a little about them first. For staters they do not have scales and if you have any diseases in the tank (ick etc.) and you treat the tank the normal dosage will kill these fish. They need a place to hide in order to feel safe, so they need a little cave or something.

Otherwise, get them, not only will they solve your snail problem but they are great fish.

I am intrigued now (I have two snails in one of my tanks that also came in on a plant although no babies yet) and I would love to see the picture. mgnurlandino@yahoo.ca

Good luck!
