Hi. I no longer have an aquarium but when I did I lost my two apple snails to some sort of disease or parasite. I was hoping that someone could tell me what it was.

The shells slowly disintegrated until the snail's shells were no longer able to support them and they died.

Does anyone know what may have caused this. The fish, even though they were danios, didn't seem to have any problem.
