::hey everyone,
:: After a few years of bugging my parents, there finally gonna let me get a shark, Me and my dad are going to build a tank, I was just wondering, what kind of sharks can you buy (or find easily on the market) and what size tank they need. I'm really interested in getting a blacktip reef shark, so if you have any info or sites that I should check out, can you please let me know, well thanks in advance!

:You should really consider if Sharks are for you. If the answer is yes then you are choices you must make and these are just a few of them. One is a the type of shark you will get. To help with this get the book called "Aquarium Sharks & Rays" by Scott W. Michael, this is the best book on the subject of sharks you can get. It will tell you the pro's and con's of most of the types of sharks you will ever find in a Fish store.
:Just for refrence this is what the books say's
:They are born at about 12.9 to 20.1 inches long
:Max length can reach 70.2in (When or if depends on how much it gets to eat)Aquarium size 5,750 gal for full grown ( Wow )
:before you buy read read plan

Hi, i really cant think that his serious in this, and if the fellow that wants this is a beginner, i suggest he start with something smaller. Those black tips grow some 5 ', and had you thought that these sharks can take on a different habits, many people dont understand sharks, just their amazed by them, but some sharks under studies has learn to adopt in understand that it brings them food, sharks know when ever they swim into cooler waters that there not much food in that area, like the tiger sharks and so on. So for the fellow that`s so overly happy in having this, you need to reconsider that thought in having such sharks and why dont you first try for a year or so in freshwater aquariums, get an understand in maintaining and maintenance an aquarium before you get yourself into bigger things, aquariums and larger marine animals. It don`t come cheap, first learn the basics before you get yourself into larger systems. ><{{{{"> Buddy
