:::Are there certain sites that sharks are sold at or are there specialty stores that sell sharks? I would like to keep a shark in the future but I don't know where to start looking for information and actual purchasing of the shark. Please help! Thank you for any input.

:: It would help in which species you was interested in. You know one the smallest sharks grows some 2 feet, and if your thinking on the banded cat shark, they don`t swim during the day, they are night hunters, they will when hungry if they small the food would come out to fed, they have poor eye sight. And if you thinking in the leopard shark, they grow 2 meters (6 feet) and would demand a huge tank if plans are to maintain for their life span. ><{{{{"> Buddy

:Well probably about 2 feet would be a good size. 2-4 feet. Where could I go look at them or like "shop around"? I just can't find any info to help me narrow it down. I would prefer to know like a shops name in the LA/Southern California area where I could go in and actually look at the sharks. But from what you describe I think the banded cat shark sounds nice. Anything at 3-4ft to suggest?

You should really consider if Sharks are for you. If the answer is yes then you are choices you must make and these are just a few of them. One is a the type of shark you will get. To help with this get the book called "Aquarium Sharks & Rays" by Scott W. Michael, this is the best book on the subject of sharks you can get. It will tell you the pro's and con's of most of the types of sharks you will ever find in a Fish store.
