Cate, some seahorses can be very difficult to care for while others are very easy. I sell pot bellies, and they are very very easy to keep. The key to success with any seashorses, lies with them being either captive bred or wild caught. Under no circumstances should anyone buy a wild caught seahorse. The survival rate is less than 5% because most people cannot fulfill their dietary requirements. PLEASE PLEASE buy only captive bred seahorses. They are considerably more expensive, but the survival rate is high. As with any fish, buy seahorses that look heathly. They are swimming or tightly latched onto something, there eyes look clear, and they are alert and their stomachs are full. If you need any further adivce please link to my sight or email me. :Hi everyone. I would really love to have a pair of seahorses. I am just starting my reserch into keeping them. At the moment I have 3 green tree frogs.
:Are sea horses hard to keep. I dont mind putting in the work. How can i tell if a seahorse is healthy. I have had bad experiences with pet stores giving bad advicde and would hate to get it wrong. Any advice, or good website with info i should be looking at.
