Sky, re: eclipse 3 tanks, I find that the power filter that comes with the eclipse 3 is too strong for the dwarf seahorses and sucks up all the brine shrimp. I tried running it at nite but then you still don't have any shrimp the next day. Recently I tried disconnecting the eclipse 3 filtration and installing a small airflow filter that attaches to the side with a disposable cartridge (carbon & sponge). This does not appear to disturb the shrimp but I'm not sure how it will do. Do you recommend undergravel filters for dwarfs? I have 2 hermits, 2 snails, 6 dwarfs and some live plants. Presntly I have stone stone gravel but I am thinking of replacing with black calcium carbonate sand, is replacement easy?
