Hello! I have had 2 seahorses since December and they are doing very well and are very happy, they have always had a good appetite. I decided that they were doing well so I bought a black one to go with my beautiful brightly colored yellow/orange ones. The black one lived for about a month, and it died (the cause is unknown, it turned white and kicked the bucket). I figured maybe it was because I separated him from the other about 30 in the tank? Maybe one was his mate? After that I bought a pair 2 of them together, they seemed happy but the next morning the male was dead and 3 days later the female was. The man at the fish store told me he "owed" me, so after a few weeks i went in and had him hold 2 of them for about a week, when i went in to pick them up they had both died. So there I was extremely heartbroken, I'be lost so many and didn't want anymore. The man insisted and gave me a very healthy looking black one that I have now, I've had him for about 9 days and I discovered him laying on the bottom of the tank, this was at 3:00, now at 8:30 he is still breathing but is weak. I haven't seen him eat and now that he can barely move he has eaten about 3 brine shrimp. I don't know what to do. I don't want to loose another one but I am afraid it may be too late! If you know why I may be losing seahorses or why they dont eat please e-mail me at CatGirl2288@aol.com. Thank you so much!
