I like the 3 gal Eclipse- The black sand is really beautiful, but you will have to have some pieces of dried coral, or add calcium to help keep the Ph up. The tank is best with out a heater. I have been raising them for a few years now, and they seem to do better at 70 - 75 degrees. Maybe even a little lower. Higher temps will hurt them more than low temps. I don't like the idea of plastic plants at all.. They don't help with the natural look of your seahorses, the best thing is to buy some calupra for them, (floridacollector.com) , and you do know that they can only eat the baby brine right? and usually a small snail or a very small shrimp like the hawaii red shrimps(under 1/2 inch) are very beautiful, but no crabs.
