I just went to a great aquarium who gave heaps of good advice. The guy I bought it from didn't tell me half this stuff.
I've just put some live rock in there to give him some hiding space - with the tank in the living room it's probably a little full-on for him. I've also worked out a lighting routine - the tank was lit up way too much.
I think for now I've done what I can to make him settle in easier. The temperature isn't really something I can help! If you've seen on the news lately, half of Australia is on fire (well, not literally). Temps are getting up to and beyond 100f.
If you have any ideas for cooling the tank they're really welcome - and thanks once more for your initial thoughts.
