::I just bought a toadstood coral about a week ago. I glued him to a piece of large live rock, and after about a day, he had slumped completely over almost making over a 90 degree angle. I took him off the rock and placed him deep in the coral sand so it could have a bit more support so it wouldnt tip over so much. What should I do??? I know my water quality is good as well.

: Now the first thing one does is when they buy a coral, you place them in the position you want them, and not move them around. In other words, you place the coral in the area you want it, and leave it be, and another thing is, the less you place your hands in that tank the better. To give you an idea about this, when i first started my 180 reef system, i started it with two leather corals, the mushroom and finger leather corals, and at first, for a week or so, they didnt look to do as well, but that was because they went thru being bag and the time it took for you to get it home and placed the bad in the reef tanks water, and as well, you handle the coral, all this adds to the stress level, but as long as it remands in one piece and not fall apart, it still lives.
: So place any corals you get in the area you got to for and let them be, but another thought came to mind, you don`t have it in the water current flow, do you?
: If you don`t mind, what size tank is this? and what fishes you have in this tank?

I've got a pretty small tank- 30gal, and just a couple fish- some clowns and tangs. It seems like the coral is healthy, he just dosent have the 'muscle' the stand up straight, its like a person without a backbone who just slumps over. I dont have any serious water flow in my tanks that would hamper my coral, and my water quality also seems fine...I dont know, I might just use the coral to propagate more toadstools.
