I have a 50 gallon long sw aquarium.
It's about half way through cycleing now.
It is going to be a reef tank.
I already have a standard cover on it, in which 2 single flouresent bulbs fixtures fit onto.
Will 2 50/50 5500k bulbs be nearly sufficent for a reef.
If not please recomend a lighting system.
I was thinking metal hallide.
however I want it to fit over my current cover.
If I gutted the insides of a plastic flouresent fixture and cut ventallation holes,
could i house 1 175 watt MH bulb in each.
The ballast would be separate.
Sorry for the lenthly message.
Thanks.
