Rainbow sharks would have red dorsal, pectoral, and anal fins as well as red caudal fins. If your sharks only have the red tail fin then they are not rainbows. Now since redtailed sharks become very aggressive towards their own kind, then it is not recommended that you keep more than one per tank. This means it would be best to take the second one back to the pet store or get him his own tank.

It is more than likely the colors of your sharks are off due to extreme levels of stress from all the moving. Also, what size is your tank and what are the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels? It could be that they are being affected by poor water as well.
