How big is your RTS now? What do you feed him and how do you feed him without all the other fishes stealing the food?

I have a 2 inch RTS, 9 tiger barbs in a 29 gallon tank. Right now the RTS is eating algae that i grow in glass jars, he also eats some brine shrimp and flakes. Because of the 9 tiger barbs i have to dump in alot of flakes and brine shrimp for the RTS but then he will only take one or two flakes. Im worried that when winter comes and i wont be able to grow enough algae that the RTS wont have enough food to eat. Any ideas what to do?
