I too have a 29 gallon tank that houses a Red Tail Black Shark. For tank mates in my tank I have 6 bronze cory catfish and a dozen or so zebra danios. Thats all I have had for tank mates. You could try any fast moving or bottom feeder as long as its not another shark or has colors like a shark for example red coloring. You could try what I have in my tank or you could try tetras, barbs, platies, swordtails, small cichlids, etc.

Thats just some ideas for tankmates. Remember dont go overboard on tank mates.
