pond beginner question

I'm getting ready to set up a 200 gal. pond. It will have a few goldfish and plants like anacaris, hornwort and parrots feather. It will get direct sun most of the day. If I have a good pump and mechanical/biological filter will the plants shade the water enough to keep it from turning green with algae? I want to be able to see the fish. Thanks for any suggestions.
A greeny, Anita
