: We dug a new pond approximately 60' X 150' in September, 2001. It is currently stocked with about about 20 rainbow trout; has lots of tadpoles; we added about 14 pounds of barley hay (wrapped in three bunches, and placed floating in the pond. We have ordered an aerator diffuser(has not arrived yet) to be placed on the bottom. We have not added oxygenating plants yet. The water is green and cloudy. It recently just turned this way. We had three days of 90+.
How can we clear it? We want to maintain our pond for recreational swimming purposes.
