Goldfish have a pretty wide temperature tolerance, but they are naturally coolwater fish. I believe 68F is the optimal temperature but they are okay at somewhat higher temperatures (70-80F). 90 or 95F is too hot. They might survive, they might not. Either way, they wouldn't be comfortable. With such warm temperatures, you could probably get tropical fish for your pond, instead of goldfish. As far as I know, the only reason why most people don't keep tropical fish in their ponds is because most ponds get too cold (someone with more experiance might tell you I am wrong about that, though). Temperature shouldn't be a problem in Puerto Rico. If you want big fish, there are various big tropical fish (oscars and cichlids come to mind).

Good luck and I hope you like your pond :-)

By the way with only 45-50 gallons, you probably shouldn't get more than 2-3 large fish (goldfish are considered large). Otherwise, they will be too crowded.
