::Can any one help!My pond that I built holds 3000 gal water so it is medium size, but I bought MICROBE-LIFT and added it to my pond like it says but I still have a problem with algae and I am getting tired of seeing it--I need to know what to use that is safe for fish and aquatic plants?
---well I am not sure now if it is algae --it is dark brown color and it sits on the bottom of the liner, when I try to use a net to take it out it goes through the net...makes the pond look like it has sand or mud in the bottom---there is no smell and I have a waterfall and a fountain going as well--and it also coats my pump..does any one know what it is or how to get rid of it--can not pick it up by hand?
:
:IMO no chemical other than water conditioner and the occassional medication is safe to add. The best way to fight algae is to prevent overfeeding, clean on a regular basis, and scrape the algae off with your hands.
