OK, I don’t know if you folks can help me but here goes (it’s not exactly a POND question).
I have a good collection of aquatic turtles. Ten of them I keep indoors during the winter. Here in the North East it’s about 30 or 40 degrees in the daytime right now and getting chillier! Basically they’re stuck inside until, at least, May.
My problem is that I’m not rich by any stretch of the imagination - - I don’t have a lot of extra cash (right now). For some reason, one after the other, my various canister filters (which I think work fantastically) have “crapped out” on me! Most of those filters I have been maintaining for over 10 years.
So, my question . . . can anyone give me SIMPLE, easy to understand for an IDIOT instructions on how to build a filter? I would like to build 3 or 4 for the various tanks and aquatic set ups in my house. I know there is a way to construct them out of old buckets (someone sent me the plans once but they have long been misplaced).
I am not particularly intelligent nor am I a handy man so, again, the instruction have to by VERY idiot simple! I’m in a real bind here.
Heck, even if I could build a filter for half the cost of buying one it would help!
Also, If I’m way off base here . . .if this is a dumb idea let me know as well.
Thanks all!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
