Sealing Wood...

Hi! This is my frist time posting here, I don't keep fish, but I figured you guys would be able to answer my question better than anyone else :) It's come time to upgrade caging for my reptiles and I am looking at some way of waterproofing the wood that is also safe. Someone made mention that there was a sealent used in the aquarium industry to seal wooden tanks, but could not elaborate. Some of these enclosures will be *wet* on the bottom, others just moist, and a few will be relatively dry. They will range from 60%-90% humidity environments, but I would like to seal them all well enough. Someone also mentioned epoxy, but I am quite inexperienced in this, so I am looking for an alternative. Also, I saw pool paint at Home Depot the other day and was curious as to its safety and was wondering if maybe that wouldn't work? Any suggestions and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you and take care,
Lindsay Garneau
