: I know Platies are Brackish water fish, but can they also
: survive in total fresh water tanks as well? thanks for any info
: in advance.

As was previously posted, platies are not really brackish water fish, although apparently they don't mind that. I have several platies and they all are in straight fresh water. They seem to like it just fine.
