In November I posted about my new 15 gallon aquarium. Basically I have 2 red-wag platys, a big castle, and several live plants. (My question before was the female platty chasing the male, which has now stopped - male now chases female!).
As of 17th December I now also have 7 small fry!!! (currently 2.5 weeks old). They seem to be doing ok and now seem big enough not to be bothered by the 2 parents. Initially I bought a tank divider and divided the tank in two, with 5 fry on one side, and the 2 parents (and 2 fry I missed) on the other. When should I take it out? If I can figure out how to post a picture I will (have a digital picture).
I've been feeding the fry crushed flake, as per posts below. Should I also feed them other stuff (if so what and how?). Also a few days ago I noticed some tiny snales which I believe came with a live plant I bought, and today I noticed a small/green/hairy worm like creature on the side glass of the tank (~ 0.5 cm long). Is it good or bad?
I was initially thinking of getting some other fish (eg Tetra) in addition to Plattys but is it best to stick with what I have now? Im also struggeling to use my cyphoning/gravel hoover device as it always seems to have an air lock in it.
Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks,
Charles.
