It's almost impossible to kill anacharis. I have a sprig of it growing in with large goldfish who regularly strip it naked. It just keeps growing back. Be aware though that, after a while, it will get long and stringy with leaves only at the very end. Just cut the ends off, dig up and throw away the middles, and replant those short ends occasionally to restart it.
