plants for 2 very different tanks

I asked this question in a different forum, but I will ask it here again just in case.
I have 2 very different tanks:
1. 29 gal, 4 glowlight tetras, 3 black phantom tetras, 2 CL's and a striped peacock eel
2. 33 gal, 2 P's and a large algae eater
Any recommendations on what sort of plant life (real, obviously) might survive in these tanks, I have had luck with 2 types of plants but I would like some variety, maybe some shorter bottom plants and some more bushy one.
Any help would be great appreciated, thanks
