:Does anybody know if these bulbs would work for a plant tank. They have bulbs that are from 100 to 450 watts. The bulbs have a color temp of 4000k. If these bulbs would work would they be safe in a wood canopy? Thanks

I have never used these bulbs, but halides create a lot of heat and would make controlling the tank temp impossible, difficult at best. Since they get so hot there is the risk of fire, especially without the proper ventilation and a fan.
