: he went from 78 degrees to an unheated one which stays around 73 with the light shining on it. Is he going to have trouble adjusting to the new water? He was in with fake plants before. Also, I'm concerned about the temperature dropping at night.
73 degrees is not really very tropical. Can't you buy a heater??? Why is the tank kept so low? Plants and plecos are fine, btw, I have two tanks, both have plants and each has a clown pleco, one is 80-82 degrees (due to the bright light used for the plants the temp climbs to 82, I have the heater set at 80 so that the temp doesn't fluctuate at night), the other is 79 degrees, the lighting is lesser and with less demanding plants, the heater keeps a stable 79.
