:Depends on what kind of tank setup. Red bellies shoal, blacks don't. At least not in the aquarium so you can only have one of those in a tank without having a killing mess by adding other fish.
I have had a scoal of 8 RB's that where really cool to see eat and hunt together, and i have also hae a black now, and i wouldn't give the black up for anything. There is something about the way that he doesn't tollarate anyone comming into his tank. he is the bad boy of the P world in my opinion. But if you have a big tank, like 100+, the a scoal of 6-8 RB's would be great. But if it is a smaller tank like a 55 then you shoudl just get one black. Muston39
