:i was just wondering, i am trying to build a custom tank and i wanted to know if i should go with an acrylic aquarium or just glass...whatever ones best and whatever one is stronger
:THANKS!

Have you tried entering "acrylic vs. glass" into a search engine? I came up with quite a few sites. Some of them are pretty biased, but here's a piece from one site:

"PLASTIC vs. GLASS: Glass tanks weigh more and cost a lot less than plastic (acrylic/Plexiglass(TM)) tanks. Plastic is easily scratched; glass can crack and spring a leak, or worst yet, shatter. Fish look better in acrylic tanks (if it's quality plastic) because the index of refraction of acrylic is closer to the index of refraction of water. "

Found at: http://www.saltwaterhobbyist.com/reference/aquarium4.htm

I would do some extensive research on aquarium building and proper materials. Try using your local library and internet search engine. Good luck.

Take care,

Celeste
