Hi,
It is normal for all fish to obtain air bubbles from either air stones or top of the aquarium tank. Parent fish does this to provide air for its child or children; in your case fly. However, it is important that you do provide some sort of air filteration for your fish and allow all your fishes to be oxygenized. The eggs may not hatch since some of the fish are sterile. However, there are cases in which your fish eggs will hatch. Provide air tubes or stones for your tank and allow full filteration of air to keep your fish healthy. Do Ph check once a week and make sure you tank is cycled (to test for cycle, bring some sample water from your tank to your local fish store)
