Thank you for the advice. I have not moved her to the other tank, I'm still a little nervous to do so as she is fast and a nasty biter (lol). I'll probably do it this weekend though.

P.S. Polly is a purple parrot and I have to agree they are beautiful.

: Moving a fish from one tank to another is only a psychological thing. Although Parrot cichlids are one of the most intelligent fish out there. Their memory only last no more than a few hours (unlike gold fish 3-4 seconds.) Therefore, you can do it the same way as most fish store personels do, get a pastic bag or a bucket and remove the fish that way. However, I would advise you to get polly some friends (suggest love-heart shaped purple parrots) and do not be surprised if your polly will take a few week/months to get her shyness out again.
