Hi, my parrot, Polly, does the same thing. She can build mounds that are a good 6 inches high in a couple of hours. A few days ago, I took out a couple pounds of gravel, now she is really p.o.ed at me. After she makes her hole, she just sits in it. I really don't know why they do this, but it's funny to watch. Sorry I couldn't be of much help, maybe Deetu or some of the other parrot lovers can help.

:I bought 2 parrot fish a few weeks ago. One of them seems to be digging a hole in the corner of the tank. He/she constantly pics up gravel with his mouth and places it off in another area. The hole is getting fairly deep. Why is he/she doing this....could it be bored, or some type of territorial "thing".
