Yes, he is a much slimmer sleeker looking fish. I should of just left him in the tank at the store.
I have called the store to see if they would let me bring it back and trade for something else and they said No that they just don't do that. Rather dissapointed me.
As I have done alot of business with them.
I should clarify this fish really isn't blue. He has blue specks on his fins. Sometimes his body appears very light in color. When he seems excited or first thing in the morning when I turn the light on he has definate dark stripes in his body like a Severum does.
He has a dark horizontal patch on the sides of his body and a blue outer ring around the dark patch that goes back to the tail fin. He is only about 2" or so in length. And a little orange color under his mouth and gill area.
I never in my wildest dreamed such a small fish could be so aggressive. He is anything but peaceful and just terrorized everyone in my big tank. So he is now in a smaller tank and all that he has for company is cory cats which he doesn't seem to pay any attention to. I have to decide now
if I will try another one or give him to my daughter in law. She says she will take him . She really doesn't have much in her tank currently and wants to do an aggressive tank.
Thanks for info. I was turned onto getting a Blood Parrot because of all the positive things I had read. And seems for the most part they are cute and docile fish. I just had to get unlucky and get a demon fish!
