Interesting observation on the sunfish....
I have a longear sunfish that I raised from the size of a nickel, that's about 3 inches long at this point. What amazes me is the fishs' ability to recognize me when it wants a pellet. This hasn't happened since i kept an oscar several years ago!
Because this native tank is a turtle tank as well, I do water changes, and use whisper filters (40 gal and 55+ gal capacity) on my 75 setup, and evaporation also demands fresh water be put in as well.
I can't wait for this spring, as I want to get a warmouth, and some other native fish for this tank. if, they don't work out, my turtle always benefits. That's why I love native displays!
