While I was catching some minnows for my aquarium, I picked up a yellow bullhead in my net. It was about an inch long when I brought it home in August, and now it's a little over 4 inches.
It loves shrimp pellets, and scraps from my snapping turtle's meal that falls to the bottom of the aquarium.

I just have a lot of hiding places in the rocks and driftwood for the bullhead to get away from the turtle, and I've even seen it feed next to the turtle when it chows down on a shiner.

From what I've read, bullheads don't get as big as other catfish, and therefore make good animals to be kept in smaller setups.

Hope this helps.
