Unfortunately there are a few that go by this common name but 2 are not popular in the trade. Does your eel have a tan color on the dorsal with a white stripe? I'm trying this one as I did see one last week in a store, If so it is Strophidon sathete. The other is similiar with dark speckles on the head it is Pseudechidna brummeri. Let me know which one and I'll get some info for you.

: I'm a fairly new moray hobbyist. I have three eels, one girdled moray eel(Echidna polyzona), one snowflake moray(Echidna nebulosus) and a Ghost ribbon eel of which I have yet to find information for. Can anyone shed some light on this species? It resembles the blue ribbon except that it has no leafy nose projections and is a kind of buff color. Thanks in advance...
