Ok..Just a little heads up on the Tesselata..They are known fish eaters...I mean they will, when they are large enough, eat everything in the tank..Including your lionfish, puffers, groupers, etc. This is a solo fish..They are beautiful eels if you are only planning on him by himself...Hope this helps you before you loose a fish or two..
:i just got an 8" tesselata. i put him in my 90 gal with a 5" panther grouper and a large lion. :( they both started trying to eat him. all they see is a little head and dont know there is seven more inches to him. i got him out and put him in a 10 gal by himself. just till he gets bigger to hold his own. then he will be moved to a 235 gal corner tank. he acts hungery and all i have at the moment is frozen krill that i put on a chopstick and tried to feed him. he comes and touches it with his nose but wont take it. i have read past messages about how often to feed but what do you guys recommend feeding a little guy like this? i always freak out until my new fish (or eels) start eating. by the way, my lfs guy knows someone with access to a 4000 gal tank (give or take) that this little guy will move to when he goes for my arm and everything else, lol.
