The common name would be peppered moray, or reef eel. The scientific name has also been changed to Gymnothorax pictus. The eel is question could be a Gymnothorax miliaris (golden tail moray), Gymnothorax lentiginosa (jewel moray) or any other number...without a picture to ID it, it's hard telling. But those are two commaon species that would fall under the discrption. |
