Because of interbreeding, some interesting color variations are out there. For example, two of my black mollies have blue speckles on their heads.

:and btw, my pregnant mollie has a bit of gold on her one side. but she is in healthy condition.

:The gold spot has always been on her i beleieve and non of the other mollies i bought with her have it. The spot is only tiny, like 1mm in size.

:And i dont have any test kits for anything. My mom thinks they are a waste of money, i just go to the pet store and get it tested for free and they say the water is just fine. 0 ammonia, and a little nitrates or whateva, nothing that could hurt them, and i am not sure about pH. I have my original first from the tank, a female betta, ive had since christmas and she has never gotten sick (not even when i accidentally killed my fish by forgetting to do water changes.... dont ask about that blonde mistake)
