people at pet stores obviously dont know how to take
fiddler crabs.yes they can be bred in freshwater but
fiddler crabs need atleast 1 Tspn of kosher salt in
there water to stay healthy and active the ones in
pet stores often die from freshwater bacteria that they
normally do not encounter in the wild. there is no
true freshwater crab even though petstores say they are
. But land species of hermit crabs do very well with
a sponge of freshwater as a water source and they dont
need salt so id recomend the slow moving hermit crab
if you want to enjoy hermit crabs get a few (4) is a
good # and fidler crabs will eat hermit crab food
but i still suggest getting hermit crabs
